Duchess of Cambridge helps donate over 10,000 new items to baby banks across UK

The Duchess of Cambridge strapped on her work gloves today to help unload donations at Baby Basics UK in Sheffield. The photo opp was to promote a much larger initiative. The duchess organized 19 British brands and retailers to donate over 10,000 new items to more than 40 baby banks across the UK.

Inspired by a private visit to Baby Basics West Norfolk, the objective is to “support the most vulnerable families in the UK” by providing baby banks with the donations that they so desperately need. Between unpacking and organizing, the duchess took time to speak to thankful families about how baby banks have offered aid to their little ones.

The Cambridge social media team produced a fun behind-the-scenes video featured in their Instagram stories.

According to @kensingtonroyal’s Instagram, 19 brands have donated items to Baby Basics, Little Village HQ and AberNecessities, who operate baby banks across the UK.
